What is the best time of the year?
November to April gives us the best weather conditions. The best
months are January, February and March. March is best for the
Sea Lions.
What is the water temperature?
November approximately 16 to 17 degrees Celsius (61-62 degrees
F) in January, February and March it averages around 20-21 Degrees
C (68-70 Degrees F). We have a Mediterranean climate, warm days
and cool nights. It is wise to bring a sweater or jacket for the
evenings.
Will I really get to see a Sea Dragon?
We GUARANTEE to show you a Sea Dragon in two days of diving, or
we will give you another two days diving FREE.
What do I need to bring with me?
We will supply your equipment needs. However, most people who
have their own diving equipment prefer to use their own. The choice
is yours.
How do I get to Kangaroo Island?
The SeaLink ferry departs from Cape Jervis (1.5 hours drive south
of Adelaide) and berths at Penneshaw. Trip time 45 minutes to
1 hour depending on which ship you are on.
Kangaroo Island is serviced by many regular flights from Adelaide
each day. Flight time 25-35 minutes. All are twin engine aircraft,
ranging from eight seaters to thirty four seat capacity.
How much luggage can I bring?
As with all flights there are luggage limits.
When you book with us please ensure that you notify us of the
baggage size and approximate weight. The airlines are very helpful,
especially when we are able to prebook the extra luggage. Any
unnecessary luggage can be left in safe keeping in Adelaide.
Do I have to bring a buddy for diving?
All dives are lead by an Instructor or Divemaster, who are always
willing to be your buddy.
What is the accommodation like?
We offer a range of accommodation. Four Star Farm stay, 4 1/2
star Country Inn, Three Star motel, and self contained Four Star
Cabins are available.
Are hire cars available?
Yes, there are hire cars available, please ensure you book early
as in peak season some times it is difficult to get a car at short
notice.
Is there public transport on the Island?
Not as yet.
What else can I do on Kangaroo Island?
The Island is quite large, approximately 150km by 60 km (90 miles
by 35 miles). Home to many different native animals and birds.
There are many different attractions, rural, coastal, cultural,
over 30 percent of Kangaroo Island is National Parks or heritage
protected land. A number of good quality operators offer personalised
guided 4x4 tours to see the highlights of the Island.
How much time do I need to see Kangaroo Island?
We suggest you need a minimum of two to three days of diving and
a similar amount of time on the land. Plan to spend a week on
the Island and it will enable you to get a real feel for the uniqueness
of Australia's third largest island.

Yes, please tell us your ideas and we can help you put it all
together.
We are happy to arrange transport to and from Adelaide, accommodation,
hire cars, transfers, tours, anything you choose to do while you
are on Kangaroo Island.
